That Old Man With Gifts And Cakes

She was there into her She knew nothing, not even a word. The ups and downs, the highs and lows All were just stories in a row. When she embraced this beautiful world Her fingers were clenched and her eyes like pearl. She was Gazing to read each face As her heart skipped a beat at a faster pace. Years passed and she came to school Uniform on and a dress for pool. Her sharp mind and her learning power Soon made her the shining star. Uncles and aunts visited her place Listened to her jingles with all that grace. She loved that tall old man Who came to meet her in a white van. He used to bring gifts and cakes And asked for a little hand shake. She merrily and happily went with him To a place at night where the lights were dim. What happened that night no one knows 'Cause after that day she never spoke. All her poems and rhymes and verses Were lost in that night leaving no traces. Several nights have passed since then Why this chirpy creature became a s

Create Your Own..

There are times when you want everything to go on in your way, in the way like you thought. You think that whatever you have planned that is the way in which things will go on. But the time changes, what people are today they might not be the same tomorrow. Their thoughts might change and accordingly you also deviate and go the other way. We never know what’s next even when we are pretty sure  about what is going to come. When we are sure that everything will go fine at that moment we are somewhere aware of the silence before that storm. We know in that little corner of our heart that things are not going to be actually fine. But to convince ourselves we show off, we smile, we laugh, we think about those beautiful moments of life. Things happen, you cannot stop them. What you can do is what is going on their in your skull, that clustered box. One more thing what you can do is do nothing. Then too the things will go on as they are destined. Destiny here does not relate to all those

This world is round

I kept on walking in a queue  Avoiding all voices coming to my ears. I kept on watching the drops of dew, Thinking how this world revolves around smiles and tears. In this queue I met many faces, These faces became familiar at once. They left when we were learning tying shoe laces, And never hoped to meet them again. I still kept on walking coz' life said so Letting the trees and flowers shed their leaves. I Watched the birds sitting in a row, And the priests turning their rosary beads. But who can deny the truth of science, That this world is round and moves around. The one you left, their existence Is still there making that familiar sound. Like the new morning gives you the old sunrays, Similar are the ways of life. You can come across those gone days, And meet your forgotten guys. So, be ready to taste the spice, No one knows in which corner you will be found. Oh! Not the corner of course, This is true that this world is round.

Is Loneliness So Powerful?

Laughter, giggles, joy and me All are disappearing rapidly. Why something is devouring my soul, Is this because I am alone? Her sounds of laughter used to fill the corridor sometimes. Today there is an uncanny silence surrounding that place. Her world was lonely, therefore, she left to explore the other world. She left because she did not find place in her own world, she left because, she was left. Is this the story we hear everyday? We say, we are progressing, we are empowering women, are we really? She just wanted to move out and embrace a new life. She wanted to bear the scorching heat of the sun and feel the cool drops of winter rains on her skin. She did not ask you to be her umbrella. She only wanted to be with you. But you, simply left. It is fine that you did not want to be with her therefore you chose the other way and decided to move away from her. But when you moved in, was it only your decision? Well it was even better for her that you went away because she was

That Cup Of Tea..

It was normal, it was fine, Their days were jolly, they slept on time. They had friends, lovely ones, But still something, was undone. They knew each other, texted a lot, Sometimes, they would never give a damn thought. They were not best friends, But they were friends, after all. Seldom they would see each other, Never thought of eating together. Days would pass, becoming months, There would be no sign of both of them. Slowly, gradually that day arrived, When even spirits were waiting for  the twist in time. That day was lazy, during chilly winters, They had decided to share a cup of tea together. Like the leaves turn green, After rains. Like the wet mud smells, Near the sea shells. There was a twist that had come, In the straight road without a turn. Now, seldom was a seldom word, Often was the latest term. Talks and thoughts they started sharing, Everyday was a new beginning. Life was in happiness and glee, They dail

Memories will hold you back

Open the doors, let the breeze come in Step ahead and hear it sing. Grab that moment, don't look back, Coz this is the time, leave the track. Cut all knots if they don't open, Melt your desires if they were frozen. Just one leap of truth is all you need, Speak out loud and work for your greed. Run, walk, stumble or fall Do something to maket it all. Stretch your hands, forget thoughts which were sour, Lay on the ground and just watch the stars. Try new jeans or wear a floral crown, Sing a song and let your fingers snap. Move on the road and don't turn around, Coz your memories will hold you back.

The Six Souls.....

The stage was all set Crowd roaring out loud Their footsteps in fret And the audience, spellbound. The aura and charm Of these mesmerizing ladies Was of course simple and calm But like sprightly blooming daisies. They fabricated a circle Then stood in a row Overcoming all hurdles These dames ready to steal the show. Painted in black Red, covered their delicate waist Whole throng taken aback Gazing them, all stuck and amazed. Their blonde-black hair Swirling with each step Spreading a magic in the air Capturing all eyes with respect. Glittering lights Focused on their face Smiling all over They had made their place. Each and every shift Went in a flow So clean and swift Elegant moves, fast and slow. These captivating queens Like water they flowed Illuminating the whole arena Building up 'The six souls'.
