That Cup Of Tea..

It was normal, it was fine,
Their days were jolly, they slept on time.
They had friends, lovely ones,
But still something, was undone.

They knew each other, texted a lot,
Sometimes, they would never give a damn thought.
They were not best friends,
But they were friends, after all.

Seldom they would see each other,
Never thought of eating together.
Days would pass, becoming months,
There would be no sign of both of them.

Slowly, gradually that day arrived,
When even spirits were waiting for  the twist in time.
That day was lazy, during chilly winters,
They had decided to share a cup of tea together.

Like the leaves turn green,
After rains.
Like the wet mud smells,
Near the sea shells.

There was a twist that had come,
In the straight road without a turn.
Now, seldom was a seldom word,
Often was the latest term.

Talks and thoughts they started sharing,
Everyday was a new beginning.
Life was in happiness and glee,
They daily met for a cup of tea.

They stole a part of each other's heart,
They still do not know from where did it start.
But after going through this poetry,
You also know, it was that cup of tea.

That Old Man With Gifts And Cakes

She was there into her She knew nothing, not even a word. The ups and downs, the highs and lows All were just stories in a row. When she embraced this beautiful world Her fingers were clenched and her eyes like pearl. She was Gazing to read each face As her heart skipped a beat at a faster pace. Years passed and she came to school Uniform on and a dress for pool. Her sharp mind and her learning power Soon made her the shining star. Uncles and aunts visited her place Listened to her jingles with all that grace. She loved that tall old man Who came to meet her in a white van. He used to bring gifts and cakes And asked for a little hand shake. She merrily and happily went with him To a place at night where the lights were dim. What happened that night no one knows 'Cause after that day she never spoke. All her poems and rhymes and verses Were lost in that night leaving no traces. Several nights have passed since then Why this chirpy creature became a s...

The Story Of A Girl

Behind the jovial sob of hers Behind the gentle touch of hers Behind the way her little fingers curl There lies the story of a girl. From her tender years of infancy To her mellow years of senility In all her charms, from a box of colours To the necklace of pearl There lies the story of a girl. You remember she gave you her bite She held you firm on the darkest night She danced with you with all lifts and swirls There lies the story of a girl You put your rules, she followed You said no, she agreed You asked her the path, she showed She was happy with every twist and turn There lies the story of a girl. Today she wants to say something She wants her heart to pour out her feelings All her life you were the master Today she wants you to take her side Her serene, simple words leave you repulsed There lies the story of a girl.
Fading Memories..... Viewing the outside world through my eyes dry I was standing at my doorstep Suddenly some chuckling noise I could hear, with my whole heart and soul in fret Stealthily I entered in that sound ,everything was blurred and no one around That image became clear and I could see,my real and everlasting memories That chuckling noise was no one else but me and my notorious friends That was the time when I was a school kid, when no one questioned about whatever I did We were walking through the corridors, plucking flowers with our tender hands I could hear the bell that rang forcing us to stand and pray then our stupid games began Then I moved on in our classes, those scratched windows with glasses Hey! I can see our names still there for which we were scolded and warned not to be spared Now I am moving more deeper, the whistling noise, its time to recreate and rejoice The ground is vast and free,we are there rushing down the ...
